Tim Penick President and Founder
Tim Penick, President and Founder of ERG, has been instrumental in building and overseeing multi-million dollar consulting practices in the Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. He offers over 20 years of focused experience supporting projects in the high technology arena for R&D engineering and the IT software consulting industry. In addition to his executive oversight role, Tim is directly involved in business development and “world class” service delivery.
Prior to establishing ERG, Tim held numerous positions including Branch and District Manager with responsibility for business development and management of the different lines of business for the Northern California region. He also served one year as a Chairman’s Board member for a previous employer where he was involved in strategy of a $1.2 billion multinational engineering services organization.
Tim holds a B.S. in Management with a specialization in Human Resources from the California State University, Chico.
Tyler Martin Director of Operations
Tyler has managed the sales and admin team at ERG for more than seven years and was instrumental in growing the company’s revenue, profit and consultant pool to all-time highs.
A key contributor in developing the company processes, Tyler helped streamline operations at ERG to create more effective processes. He also handles ERG’s finance, budget, and operations, and plays a vital role in training the sales and recruiting staff.
Before joining the ERG team, Tyler built and managed his own accounting and tax practice in Silicon Valley. In less than five years, he grew his clientele to over 250 clients, including high-net-worth individuals and Bay Area businesses.
Tyler holds a B.S. in accounting from the California State University, San Jose and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant with the state of California.
Matthew Chummers Director, Client Services
Matthew has more than 13 years of experience as an account manager, and an average of over a hundred placements annually. His knack for building and maintaining meaningful, mutually profitable relationships with clients has contributed to his success at ERG. Matthew was recently promoted to the Director of Client Services at ERG.
Matt is a driven, “go-getter” who takes initiative and consistently achieves and exceeds his goals. He has been awarded the President’s Club Award twice, and consistently ranked top performer of the quarter, year after year.
His superior communication and analytical skills allow him to correctly identify client set business goals and develop customized strategies for each individual client to help meet their business goals quickly and efficiently.
His experience building successful relationships generates both customer loyalty and repeat business. His dedication to his clients is second to none.
Tim Dawson Head of Recruiting
With over 13 years of experience in the staffing industry, Tim’s creativity, quick thinking, and consistent performance make him an invaluable member of the ERG team. He currently holds the company record for most contracts placed in one month. Tim was awarded the President’s Club Award for outstanding sales performance as a recruiter in both 2013 and 2016.
In addition to seeking out viable candidates for contract and full-time technical roles in the Silicon Valley as Lead Technical Recruiter, Tim is also responsible for mentoring and training our talented new recruiters.
Before joining the ERG team, Tim’s extensive career background included recruiting for both contract and full-time placements, working with staffing firms from small boutique firms to large-scale international organizations.
He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the Sacramento State University and is a firm believer in making a difference in people’s lives while never compromising his principles.
